I was given a 60 question exam on my math skills and questioned about my background in math and how well I would explain those skills to a student. Because this was a tutoring job discipline wasn't an issue but how well I understood math concepts and how I would explain those concepts was the main focus of the interview.

It was for a tutoring job so discipline questions weren't really relevant. I was questioned about my math ability and how to explain such things as,"Why is the answer to a negative number times a positive number always a negative number?" I answered, "Multiplication is really a short cut for addition so that, for example , 4 x -3 = -12 because 4 x -3 means add -3 to itself 4 times, i.e., 4 x -3 = -3 + -3 + -3 +-3 = -12

Easy 2 questions. tested in basic math. I solved while the interviewer watched. then she asked me about availability. I thought the whole process was easy. but I did not get the offer,
Straightforward. Took online math assessment and then came in for an interview that was more of a personality check. Manager was friendly and was offered the job at the end of the interview.
