Phone interviews with actual would-be bosses went well, so I was invited to come to Boston for a day of interviewing with several people. Everything seemed to me like it was going well, and at the end of the day, the head honcho actually told me in person that I would most likely be the one to get the job, and that I would hear from them soon. 4 or 5 months went by and I heard NOTHING. It's fine if you don't want to give me the job, but don't practically tell me i've gotten it at the interview, then not contact me for months. I have never experienced such extreme unprofessionalism before. So all that time later they finally contacted me to let me know they had gone with someone else. I am so glad I didn't end up working there.
