J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Marvin

      Entretien

Prolonged and Misleading Hiring Process I went through an extensive and time-consuming interview process that took 3 months and included: - Four interviews (with the hiring manager, their boss, and two team members). This is after an initial screening with a recruiter. - An assignment of a sample strategy presentation, which took several unpaid hours. - An in-person visit for three days, where my spouse and I were flown in to tour the town and headquarters. - Additional “meet and greets” that were actually informal interviews with executives. After all of this, I was told I wouldn’t receive an offer due to concerns about my strategic skills and presentation—these didn't align with my salary expectations (which was within the initial compensation range provided at the start of the process). However, my skills / presentation had been reviewed and approved before they invited me to visit onsite. So, based on their final feedback, my husband and I should not have been asked to spend time and energy traveling to Warroad for 3 days. Additionally, they never requested references and did not extend an offer to the other candidate (as far as I know). In short, decision-making was inconsistent—my work was initially deemed strong enough to move forward, only to later be cited as the reason for rejection. They should have made that decision before asking me and my spouse to commit time and energy to travel. Advice for Future Candidates: If you're considering a role at Marvin, be aware that specific team's hiring processes may be prolonged, unclear, and potentially misleading. Ensure you get clarity on expectations early on, and be cautious if the process keeps expanding unexpectedly. It's easy to be initially wow'd by the chatter about company culture and reputation, but don't let that blind you to red flags within specific teams. Marvin is branded with a small-town, down-to-earth community vibe, but some of the folks I met were very corporate and stiff. (Note: This is no reflection of the town. The community and people of Warroad are absolutely lovely.)

"Why Marvin?" - was asked by nearly all my interviewers.
