I went to this property just to drop my resume and maybe fill out an application form.
I ended up having 4 different interviews on the same day ( HR manager, operations manager, front desk office manager and even general manager).
I have worked for the company in the past and it s not that I got fired or something, I was on a trainee visa for recent foreign graduates and let s just say considering I knew the company , their policies and having 4 interviews on the same day and experience on the position, they never called me back.
I called back about a week later after the interviews and they said they were still reviewing candidates, I called once again 2 weeks after that basically for them to be honest and tell me " yes we hired someone more qualified, etc" I got an answering machine, left my name, my phone number, explained that I had those 4 interviews on the same day and I never heard back...
I m not blaming Marriott because I don t think this would had happened at the property where I worked for in the past but I believe this management company who run this franchise has a very different way to do things, at least when it comes to the hiring process.
I am pretty disappointed to say the least, I think if you make someone have so many unexpected interviews in the same day you should follow up via e mail or phone and let them know if they are still on the run or not.
Guess it s time to try a different hotel chain :)

The interviews were easy, typical job interview questions like " tell me about a time when you had to deal with an unhappy customer" and stuff like that.

It was a super chill interview, they definitely used the STAR method and asked typical questions, including about how to deal with a rude guest, and how you deal with a rude or uncomfortable coworker.
