Since Marriott revamped its hiring process in 2012 it has been seemingly impossible to achieve employment with them. It starts out with being contacted by a 3rd part recruiter if they like your online application/resume. From there you must take their inhouse assessment, but at the time the computer program was new and not working correctly. Once you do manage to complete it, and have a phone interview with the recruiter they will contact the appropriate party at the property, for an intial phone interview one on one with the department head. They then report back to the recruiter, who will let you know if you get to move on to the next step. If you make the cut, you get another phone interview, typically with the next level of management. Again, they report back to the recruiter, and if still in the running will have a panel interview with the whole management group at the property. At this point they let you know that if they decide to move forward with considering making you an offer they will check references. Which is done by the recruiter.
