      Entretien

Applied on their website and was promptly interviewed over the phone by HR, then was called in for an interview with the heads of the department which was followed by a writing test. Everyone was friendly and the test was easy enough if you have a good grasp of spelling and grammar. This interview was followed by another phone interview with another person of higher authority; it went well, but the this final interview is where the sketchiness began. The friendly interviewer I spoke to during my supposedly final phone interview said that either THIS was my final interview OR I would speak to the CEO, who likes to interview everyone who gets that far in the hiring process. Or maybe I wouldn't speak to the CEO, depending on schedules, etc. So I was left hanging and unsure of what would happen next. I emailed HR twice to no avail and figured that they were ignoring me and had eliminated me from the interview process; I was trying to remain hopeful since this was all happening over the winter holidays. The holidays ended and few weeks passed (a total of FOUR weeks, not the one to two that had been promised) until HR called and said that they were still interested in hiring me but that the company and department were going through changes. I was still interested and HR promised to call me back a couple of days later with another update, which happened a week and a half later rather than a few days later. I missed the update call from HR (ironically, I was about to head into another interview and had put my phone on silent) and called back, leaving a message and my information. After 8 days, I haven't been called back. It has officially been almost 2 months since my first interview and as I browse the internet for jobs, I find that they've put up a posting for the job I applied for. To be fair, they hire multiple editors, so my feathers aren't too ruffled; after their antics, I wouldn't be surprised if they call me back in a few weeks or months. I was honestly hoping I wouldn't have to write a negative review about their interview process, but after them leaving me on the hook for so long, I couldn't wait any longer. Unless I'm desperate, I don't plan on applying to Marketwired or accepting any offers they may make.
