My experience interviewing for the Marketing Signals role was, unfortunately, disappointing, particularly concerning the second round.
After completing the first-round interview, the HR representative informed me that a take-home task would be the next step. However, despite multiple follow-ups on my end, the task was only eventually shared after a significant delay.
The task itself was quite substantial, requiring a comprehensive 6-part marketing strategy presentation. What was most concerning was the extremely tight deadline provided – only 24-32 hours to complete and present this detailed work. This felt like an unreasonable expectation, especially given the lack of any prior assurance or commitment regarding the next steps in the process.
Following the submission of the presentation, I was completely ghosted by the HR team. There has been no communication, no update on the application status, and no feedback whatsoever, even after the considerable time and effort I invested in completing their assignment.
While I understand that companies move forward with other candidates, the least a candidate expects, especially after dedicating significant time to a take-home task, is professional communication and constructive feedback. The lack of response after such an intensive task reflects poorly on the candidate experience.
