I applied and a week later I received a phone call interview. Then I got offered to do a face-to-face interview for the following day. I met with a human resources person and asked me questions about school and my availability. I was also asked why I wanted to work for Mariano's. I passed the second round and then I met with the store director. I was offered the job on the spot.

Very quick, just wanted to make sure I had a pulse basically. Interview was no longer than 5 minutes and I was offered the job on the spot. They are desperate and will hire anyone who comes in. Be wary though, they switch up the positioning you applied for after you accept. I applied for the bakery position and was told I got it! When I went into train I was told I had been switched to being a cashier, which I was not at all comfortable with. Talked to a few people and found out that the bakery position had been filled for a while and this was just their way of getting people to come in and interview. To more than just me, they interviewed people for bakery, said they got the job, and then switched the cashier. BE AWARE!!!!
