I applied online for an internship at Dow through Manpower, and they contacted me by phone to arrange an interview. I went to the interview with two more people, who clearly seemed to be more lost at the interview when they asked them why they decided to apply to the company. On the other hand I knew what to answer pretty well, and I was precise with that. The interview seemed to be going pretty well, and at the end the HR recruiter asked us if we had any questions. Then I asked "Given the case that we get inside the company, what are the growth expectations for the average employee inside the company?" I don't know if she took the questions the wrong way, but she looked at me and said "Don't you think it's a bit early to make that question?" with a serious voice tone. I didn't think the question was inappropriate, because many other companies tell you that without even you asking, but well. I guess that was why I wasn't contacted after that.
