      Entretien

Was a bit weary of applying as I'd seen the same MailGuard ad's popping up repeatedly which generally means they have a high staff turnover or nobody wants to work for them. Submitted my CV, was called for a super short phone screening the next day and invited to a face to face interview later the same week. On arriving at the office I was shown to a small and very hot office and was told the recruiter would be with me shortly. However, I could hear the recruiter conducting another interview right next door as well as see a second candidate also waiting in another office across the sales area. 40 minutes after the scheduled interview time (and 5 before i was going to leave) the recruiter made an appearance. After some basic intro she went through some basic intro on the company and the role which strangely had little in common with the PD they had sent me, then explained that they wanted senior sales people with corporate experience and amusingly then launched into a fairly brutal and unsolicited assessment of their current sales team who in her words we all stupid and loosers who did nothing. At this stage I'd seen and heard enough answered her remaining questions as quickly as i could and got out of there as fast as I could. As I was leaving I could see another 2 obvious candidates waiting in other offices and a 3rd arriving as i was leaving in the building. Received an email a few days later saying I'd been shortlisted for a 2nd interview with the MD but didn't bother replying to it. Strangely, a buddy who occasionally works with the company told me that they still haven't filled any of the 4 vacancies and when he spoke to the MD he was told "they were just looking at what was out there" Since November I've seen the same advertisement republished 4 times now but in short I'd consider these guys tyre kickers and based on their comments and what i saw in their office seem to run a boiler room style sales environment.
