J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Magic Ears en avr. 2019
Entretien
Most importantly, the pay listed in the recruitment messages was not accurate. It said $22-$26 an hour when I applied, but the actual range is $18-$26 with most new teachers making $18. The $22 factors in 2 separate $1 bonuses (one of which is for signing up to teach over 60 hours a week).
The interview process was very long. First, I filled out an online form. Then there was a short interview to check credentials (aka verbally state everything already submitted online). Then there was the option of recording a video of a lesson or doing a mock lesson with someone (an adult acting like a kid). Then there was a review of that lesson and an interview. Then there was another lesson with a kid, but the kid seemed to be a native English speaker, so the lesson wasn't at all appropriate. Also, it was with only one student rather than the 4 typically required during the job.
The interview process entailed of a short demo video, and two online interviews in which it was necessary to pretend to teach with the given materials. They suggest that you create some props and be as enthusiastic and fun as possible to align with the company values.
The interview went very well and my mock class but they never got back to me. They said they would reply in 2 or 3 days. Never contacted me again. Unreliable company.
The interviewer was a pleasure, extremely friendly, and informative. Beginning with a few mandatory questions we then began the interview process which was, too, rather pleasant. All material was available prior to the interview, allowing for pre-reading and preparation. Expectations were clerly outlined. All-in-all, enjoyable.
