The application had a series of written questions that don't seem to have been brought up again in interview. I checked my email for assessments sent to me and at least one was sent. Don't remember what it was since it was a couple months ago. Anyways, I was invited to do the one way video interview. You are asked to answer 7 timed questions on video. I felt I over-rehearsed and came across as robotic, but I was invited to interview with the hiring manager and one of the marketing leads anyway. I'm a remote applicant so we conducted the interview on a Zoom call. Most questions probed my working style, how I would conduct myself in certain situations (no, not those dreaded "tell me about a time..." questions but real on-the-job scenarios), and how I interact with others. They were very conversational about it, building on the answers I gave. I was very at ease during this interview. It's a lot to the application process, but they do their best to make it convenient for you with self-scheduling. Unfortunately I did not get an offer. The questions below are from the Zoom call interview.

Applied, shortly after had to complete an online test where I wrote some mock content for a company. After that I had a phone screen/interview, and finally an in person "tour" which was less formal than an interview, essentially it was an opportunity to check out the office while discussing the job. All of that was fine, but in the end I felt slightly lead on. I was specifically told I was a top candidate. After the tour/interview I was told I wasn't chosen, but that they still wanted to hirer me and would keep in touch. This rubbed me the wrong way because they claimed to want to hire me but still chose someone else over me, but I understand there must've just been a better candidate. Still, this kicked off a three or four month routine where each month I would get in touch with the hiring manager to find out if they were hiring and would be told they weren't. At first, the hiring manager reached out to me. Then I had to reach out and ask myself. And eventually I was just flat out ghosted. Kind of a frustrating process--if you don't want to hire someone, tell them that. If you do want to hire them, do it. it shouldn't be complicated.
