Macy's emails its interviews. You can actually choose a time slot and change it when you please, which is very convenient. It also gives you directions as to where to wait in the store. In this case, I sat upstairs in the HR office until the General Manager got off of his phone to interview me. I was then led to another room with a table and chair, and it started.
The interview was very short and only consisted of a few questions. "Why Macy's?" "Tell me about a time you gave good customer service." "Tell me about a time you recieved good customer service." "What would you do if you knew a fellow employee was stealing?"
Unfortunately he said there was no job that fit my skillset available.
I would advice dressing as classy and stylish as possible, especially for girls. They care. Their dress code is black, so wearing black attire may make you fit in more. Bring an extra resume copy and just be as professional as possible.
