I originally came in to interview for a management in training position, but the store manager said I seemed to have a strong interest in visual so she asked me to interview with the manager of visual merchandising for their store. I interviewed in the managers office and did a whole store tour/walk through. Then after all that the manager expressed they didn't have anything open for me right now but they would keep me in mind for the future. Then I was called in March to come and interview for a position that opened up. I came in and interviewed less then a week later. Followed up for the position a handful of times over the next month. The manager kept telling me she would get back to me and that I was in her "top 3" and then I just gave up after being put off so many times. They just finally emailed me my rejected on May 2. By the way for no experience they were only offering $10.50 an hour for this position to start. I had experience and they were still trying to get me to start at that pitiful salary, For all that manual labor and climbing up ladders, dedication and creativity they expect from their employees, they are nuts to insult them with that hourly wage.

Basic questions such as relevant tasks you did in previous jobs, ability to decipher blueprints and handle tools, climb ladders and be punctual, availability is key. Flexibility. What are your short and long term goals, why do I want to work at Macy’s
