It may seem down to earth and harmless, but it's a tactic to see if you slip up and answer genuinely. Keep your answers short and simple. They will also ask you inappropriate questions to determine if you're unfit (using discriminative methods to rule you out). Once the interview is complete, they like to make you think the ball is in your court by making you think about wanting the job. Be smart, trust your gut instincts.
