      Entretien

The hiring process at MWR InfoSecurity was the smoothest I've ever seen. After being contacted by HR for a position in their NYC office, I had a technical phone interview with one of their consultants. The questions were straightforward and relevant for a security consultant job. Unlike some consulting interviews where you are stuck doing 80 hours of demo projects and work over the span of months, I was then given the opportunity to jump to an onsite interview. The HR department was very accommodating with my schedule as a graduating college senior, and worked with me to find the best day to come into the office to interview. During the interview, I was given two in person tests which gauged relevant skills for the job, and then was interviewed by three of the consultants. The questions they asked where fair, and very extensive. At the end of the interview I thought they had a very realistic picture of what I knew. I was given an offer shortly after that with competitive benefits, but went with a different company in the end. Overall a great experience.

Interview setup was easy and the HR staff were responsive. On that, they were amazing. It was actually when I interviewed with an employee that my experience turned horrible. I could tell the moment we started speaking that he really didn't want to interview me. His overall demeanor was rude and it felt like he was purposely trying to throw me off so I could give the wrong answers. While throwing people off is expected in technical interviews, this was on another level. Finally, the questions asked were definitely not junior level questions. This had me questioning if he even looked at my resume, since I did not claim the level of expertise questions were being asked at. Note to MWR: Train your employees at effective interviewing. This was my worst experience and it was so bad I was motivated to post it.
