The interview process felt more like a formality rather than a genuine opportunity to assess my qualifications for the role. It became clear that the hiring manager had likely already identified an internal candidate to fill the position, based on questions i had asked during the interview.
Throughout the conversation, the interviewer seemed disinterested, often nitpicking at my answers, misinterpreting them, and then focusing on minor flaws. It felt like they were more intent on finding reasons to reject me rather than evaluating whether I was a strong fit for the role.
Additionally, the interviewer frequently mentioned their own XX years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, often in a way that felt more self-promoting than relevant to the discussion. They seemed to believe they were catching me off guard during the interview, but in reality, it felt more like an attempt to inflate their own ego.
Overall, the interview left a negative impression, as it felt less about my potential as a candidate and more about checking off a box.

Smooth, very professional, interviewed with three or four members and answered panel of questions, atmosphere was comfortable virtual and although I was nervous, they made me feel welcomed.
