      Entretien

      Interviewed by Director of Software Development. Asked many generic people-management questions. The company is old school in approach. There are many fossils floating around. Engineering is dominated by the business side of the business. There is probably much office politics and maneuvering taking place at this company. It does not use the latest technology but it is OK for an accounting software company.

      How do you deal with a non-performer? How did you overcome obstacles?

      Interview also included Predictive Index Cognitive Assessment - 50 multiple choice IQ Test questions in 12 minutes. Make sure you go through YouTube videos that will prepare you for this part of the interview. It is hard.

      The company will also give you a PI Behavioral Assessment. This involves about 70 adjectives with a checkbox next to it. Question #1 - Check all adjectives that you think others would use to describe you Question #2 - You get same list of adjectives again and you have to remember what your results were from the first sheet. Do a screen shot of your answers to question #1 before proceeding to the second.

      Question 4

      While awaiting feedback the company also sends out (via a 3rd party) a survey of how you experienced the interview process. Although the survey says it is anonymous, be sure to know that that is not practically the case.

      Company is old school and will insist that all employees come into the office, which is poorly located (in terms of traffic congestion) at least 3 days a week.

      You made some interesting comments. The company evolves with the times and offering a hybrid situation where employees have 2 days a week a home is a nice blend of both working in the office with the flexibility to do so at home too. I'm not sure you know enough about us to talk about fossils and so on. We have a diverse, welcoming workforce with people from internship age to senior level, which is needed in a well staffed company. Also, the survey is truly anonymous. It comes back as aggregated data, not by individual.
