      Entretien pour City Marketing Lead

      15 nov. 2017
      Employé (anonyme)
      Los Angeles, CA
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien difficile

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Lyft (Los Angeles, CA) en oct. 2017

      Entretien

I was contacted by HR for a phone screen which quickly led to a 30 minute interview with the local GM. Following the success of that round I went in to meet 4-5 individuals from the local team for behavioral/skill assessment and team fit interview questions. Questions were mainly around my experience and why Lyft. Recruiting kept me informed of my status pretty quickly and we booked my final round in HQ which involved responding to a "prompt" and presenting to 3-4 people in HQ followed by 3-4 more interviews with folks in HQ. This was pretty involved and dug deeper in to my analytical ability and understanding of Lyft and the mission of the company. I then waited about 2 weeks to find out about getting an offer, but Recruiting kept me up to date constantly.

The interview process was efficient, transparent, and comprehensive. From the first interview, it was clear that Lyft takes cultural fit very seriously. I had 10+ 30-60 minute interviews over the course of several rounds during a six week span. Everyone I spoke to was kind, knowledgeable, and very passionate about the company and their respective roles. There were no gotcha or super hardball questions, but the sheer volume of interviews made the process incredibly intense! After the phone screen, in-person interviews, and phone interviews with HQ staff, I was given four days to create a presentation. I spent 20+ hours on the assignment and presented it to the local team and again at HQ. I recommend taking whatever exercise you're given extremely seriously as it's the best way for the hiring team to see how you think. The recruiters were also phenomenal. Personally, I find the waiting game to be the toughest part of job interviews. My recruiter never took longer than 48 hours after any round of interviews to reach out about next steps. When I arrived for my interviews at HQ, there was a handwritten note and bag of snacks waiting for me and even a personalized message on the conference room white board. Those little details made me feel so welcomed. From walking around the office, I could tell that the same level of care and thoughtfulness is consistent throughout the company.

Interview questions were standard, but doing your research on the industry and having illustrative examples from your personal experience will go a long way!

The interview process started with an internal referral from a friend of mine. A recruiter contacted me for the role and we had a fantastic first chat. They had already been well into the process when I began my interviews, and shortly after our first chat, I learned the position had been filled. The recruiter felt I had a lot of potential at Lyft and introduced me to another team looking for talent. A few weeks later, I interviewed on site with four members of the second team who were all amazing people. Ultimately, the role and my experience weren't aligned, but I had such a positive experience with everyone at Lyft. I'd like to acknowledge how personal, organized, and attentive my recruiter at Lyft was. She supported me throughout the process, provided clear and helpful information along the way, and never kept me waiting. In my process of exploring a new career, Lyft has been one of my favorites.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

The questions were straight forward, mostly about my background and career interests in my career as well as questions specific to the role. Had I moved forward, the next step would have been to respond to an assignment and present to the group.
