I had an overall positive experience interviewing for the AI Automation Engineer role, which consisted of two remote rounds. The first round was a one-hour Microsoft Teams call with a senior non-technical interviewer who was very friendly and focused on understanding my interests, background, and motivation, including why I want to work in consulting, my experience with customers, whether I prefer customer-facing or backend roles, and my comfort with remote work. The second round included both HR and a subject matter expert, where HR provided an introduction to the company and the discussion then moved into more technical depth, particularly around my experience with RAG systems, chatbot applications, and how I approach technical edge cases and problem-solving scenarios; the conversation was flexible between English and German, which made it comfortable. Overall, the process was professional and well-structured, and the interviewers were approachable, but I did not receive any detailed feedback after the interview, which would have been helpful.
