I had a positive experience with a recruiter who asked insightful questions. However, the second interview with a project manager was polite but felt insincere and uninteresting. It's possible that the interviewer lacked the necessary experience or that they had already chosen a candidate who asked for a lower salary. It's also worth noting that the proposed salary range was not listed or disclosed (benefits were), and the original job description was ambiguous and broad.
