      Entretien

Signed Offer Rescinded — Deeply Unethical Experience Interview Experience: Negative Outcome: Offer Rescinded I had one of the most disappointing experiences of my career with Liftoff. After going through an over 6-week-long, multi-round interview process, including multiple technical rounds, hiring manager discussions, immigration paperwork, and a completed background check, I signed an offer and began onboarding. This was with everyone whom I met impressed and with positive feedback compared to other candidates. Then, out of nowhere, I was informed that my signed offer was being rescinded because of the temporary U.S. government shutdown, delaying H1B filings. Just 48 hours later, when the Department of Labor reopened and visa filings resumed, I learned the company had already filled my position with another candidate. To make matters worse, I was even required to record all my interview responses on Brighthire. I was explicitly told that if I didn’t consent to being recorded from the very first recruiter screen, they might not move me forward. That should’ve been my first red flag about how transactional and one-sided the process would turn out to be. It’s deeply disrespectful and unethical to continue interviewing candidates after signing one on, especially when that person has already paused their job search and committed fully. It speaks volumes about how little the company values trust, integrity, or the human effort behind their “hiring pipeline.” If this is how they treat new hires before day one, it raises serious questions about how they treat employees once they’re on payroll. For a company that talks so much about culture, empathy, and data-driven decision-making, this was a complete failure in basic decency and accountability. Tip for future candidates: Before signing anything, get written confirmation that your offer will not be rescinded due to “internal changes” or “timing issues.” Also, ask directly if the team continues interviewing after making offers; it could save you from going through what I did.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Python live coding, SQL, Trino SQL Query optimization. I was later informed by HM that I would only be using Scala, Python, and Spark SQL out of which I was never interviewed for Scala and Spark, nor informed before.
