J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Lidl (Portsmouth, South East England, England) en oct. 2016
Entretien
Applied online. Heard back 4 weeks later inviting me to a group interview. 10-15 other people were there as well. Short presentation by the area manager then 1 on 1 interviews. Very basic competency questions. Was invited to a work trial the 3 days later. Work trial was a complete waste of time, just stacking shelves for 45 minutes with 3 other applicants. Then the store manager spoke to us for 30 seconds just checking if we were fully flexible. Said he would pass info back to the area manager and we would then hear back whether we got a job or not.
I have no idea how they could distinguish between people from the work trial, but it went fine so I am hopeful!
EDIT: Got offered the job and start next week!!!
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Why Lidl/retail?
Where do you see yourself in 3 years?
Tell me a bit about yourself outside of work.
Are you fully flexible?
Give an example of when you've provided excellent customer service.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.

Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
