J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Liberty Mutual Insurance (Boston, MA)
Entretien
I had a very bad experience with Liberty Mutual. I went through four rounds of interviews (HR phone screen, Hiring Manager phone screen, in-person interviews with three people, then final phone sign-off with the Head of the entire group), and the recruiter told me that I basically had the job and they were going to make me an offer. We negotiated salary and bonus and he said he'd get back to me shortly. Then he just disappeared. Completely ignored my phone calls and emails and left me hanging. I still have no idea what happened. I have a very negative impression of Liberty Mutual as a company that is disorganized in its interviews and doesn't treat candidates with respect, regardless of whether they plan to move forward or not.

Question 1
How does your experience fit the role i have applied
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Liberty Mutual Insurance (Seattle, WA) en août 2011
Entretien
Discussion with 3 colleagues who are currently employed there; online application with extensive requirement of background details; phone screening by HR representative who did not have experience in my work domain; round robin in-person interview loop with 2 mid level managers and 1 senior leader directly related to the hiring organization; long pole in the tent was waiting for HR to complete a detailed background check. Work culture is stable, established and mature - this isn't your mother's dot com startup. There's an expectation of self-management including dealing with a sharp learning curve of immersion in the insurance industry language and practices. Not overly personal - people tend to keep a crisp separation of home and work life, but not cold or stuffy. On most days, this is a solid, rational work environment that you can leave at work when you shut down your computer for the night.
