J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Liberty Mutual Insurance (Lake Mary, FL) en janv. 2012

      Entretien

The process started with a phone interview, which lasted ~45 minutes. Went over prior work experience, designations held, basically a review of your resume and a Q&A session about specific past work experiences...be ready to have specific answers, as in my case, or particularly complicated claims, especially ones that possibly involve SIU. Following this an in person interview was held with two managers. The interview started out with a handwritten (which is absurd in this day and age) test. First bit was essay form, explaining how you would handle an irate customer on the phone given a set of information about their previous contact. The next section was estimating the material amounts for a partial roof replacement. The last area was on depreciation of contents. A calculator is provided. The interview itself was your basic resume reviewal, followed by some behavioral questions. The behavioral questions is where this company fails in its recruitment process. These questions are the sorts like "Explain a time when negotiations didn't go your way, and what you did" or "A time when you had immense gratification about your job". These sorts of open-ended interperative questions are a greater test of an interviewers ability to BS their way through an interview than a judge of a potential employee's ability to do their job. Beyond the extremely outdated approach to recruitment (hand-written instead of computerized examinations, behavioral questions that were outdated in the 80s, much less today) Liberty seemed to be a fantastic place to work. The interviewers themselves were very pleasant, and obviously experienced in the industry, and the atmosphere in the office was a good one. Just make sure to google standard behavioral questions and prepare to be judged on ability to spin rather than job qualifications, and you'll be fine. Dear Liberty Mutual: Update your job application process!
