I first heard of the opportunity through a recruiter in my area. When I expressed interest in the position, I scheduled a 45 minute phone interview with another Professional OD Recruiter who was very personable. We discussed how I decided to become an optometrist and other general details about the position. The "meaty" questions like salary were left to my next interviewer. She set up a meeting at the store the following week with their Regional General Manager who came in from out of town. Having never worked in corporate optometry, I found it odd that I needed all of these meetings to get the job. In the past for me, the hiring was always up to 1 or 2 people and did not require so much phone tag and emailing. The Regional Manager was very polished and professional. He made some small talk about his history in the business and then quizzed me on my past work experience and what my view was on how an optometrist should function in a retail environment. He went over the positions that they were looking to fill, as well as the benefits package and the schedule. I also got a tour of the facility. He asked for my salary requirement and we finished up the interview. He told me that the OD recruiter would call me the following week to discuss the salary offer. I sent her an email to let her know I was still interested and I did not hear back from either of them.

I met up the HR staff. I filled in forms and waited for interview. around 15 min left. I waited around 1 week and receive the reply call from HR
