      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Leidos (San Diego, CA) en janv. 2019

      Entretien

Had an initial phone interview with the lead scientist prior to moving forward with a face to face interview. At the time of this phone interview, I was about 6 months out of undergraduate school, 2 months into looking for a job. The phone interview was mostly questions regarding experience during my undergraduate career and my current understanding of electromagnetics (I'm a ME so material in relation to this was not in my skill set). However, I did make the face to face interview. I had interviewed 7 different people individually, spending 30 minutes with each person. Each individual mostly had asked similar questions regarding my experience with computational methods (They were looking for someone that was familiar or capable of doing computational electromagnetics, though I was more versed in computational fluid dynamics). They didn't really ask super technical questions, but they did ask more personal questions, such as what my hobbies were etc. Included in the 7 interviewees was 1 personnel from a different department, who took interest in my exposure in CFD, and the last person being the department head, who explained to me what they were looking for in the candidate. The biggest reason why I made it this far was also due to my active clearance. Other than that, both the phone and face to face interviews were really laid back and quite enjoyable. No pressure and stress free.
