I recently had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience interviewing for a Network Engineer position at Leaseweb Singapore. To put it bluntly, their HR and interview process left much to be desired, and I feel compelled to share my experience to help potential candidates make informed decisions. I went through a staggering six rounds of interviews, each time hoping for a resolution or feedback. However, after every interview, I was met with responses about needing "one more interview" or the hiring team "discussing details." What made matters worse was when the HR department suddenly went dormant and provided no updates for an extended period. When they eventually resurfaced, their explanation was that they had undergone "management changes" internally and would not be hiring for the position after all. The inconsistency in their communication raised several red flags. It's implausible that such significant internal management changes, as claimed, would occur overnight. Moreover, I discovered that the position I had applied for remained open on Glassdoor, which further contradicted their explanation for not hiring me. It's evident that Leaseweb Singapore needs to seriously reevaluate its HR practices and interview feedback mechanisms. As a candidate who invested time, effort, and energy in the interview process, I expected a more professional and respectful approach. Instead, I was left feeling frustrated and undervalued.
