J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Learning RX (Albuquerque, NM) en sept. 2012

      Entretien

The hiring and interview process had several steps. The first was a group hiring. All the applicants came in and learned about the company. We then did a sort of test for ability. The second step was an interview with the director and trainer coordinator. The third was taking the Woodcock-Johnson.

J'ai postulé en personne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Learning RX (Fort Collins, CO) en août 2017

I first read the interview process on here at the time I applied. The reviews honestly kept me up with stress and worry, so I hope to provide a clear description to help others gage how to prepare. I walked in and turned in my resume. I received a phone call minutes later and was sent an application. I was relieved that other commenters warned me of the testing they do during the interview process. I have high anxiety and would have easily broken down without this warning. I had a one on one interview and the testing lasted about 30 minutes, while the interview lasted 2 hours. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other and exploring my interests and life goals. The testing is quick. You will be pushed to your limit, but this is to estimate your potential rather than discourage you. They try to keep you feeling positive, and the testing is a brief example of what they will expect you to do as a brain trainer. Fortunately, I was given one on one training for a week with two mentors for 4 hours a day. I also volunteered to observe some sessions. They do not provide compensation for training, and the intensity can wear you out! I recommend, applying for this position if psychology, mentoring, or working with people is your passion. It will also help if you have another source of income for a few weeks (student loans, significant others, family). This process will be expedited the more you can commit yourself (no other part-time job). I then had a week of practicum students, this is not often a paid training but it may help to ask your supervisor depending on your situation. I am now an employee after three total weeks. The intensity and difficulty that most commenters are speaking of is in reference to the different activities you will need to familiarize yourself with. Each activity has sub-levels so it is a lot of information. Try to learn the first few levels. Have a good time!! It can be very stressful because of the studying and financial limitations. However, the atmosphere is fun and everyone I work with is positive, cheerful, and encouraging. Hard work pays off. I love going to work, because of my co-workers and the work we do. You can really see the differences in the students' confidence over-time. They are happy to be there and a trainer can build meaningful relationships with people of all ages.

Had to take a quizz and was totally thrown off, so didn't do so well. Guess it wasn't the job for me.
