Where do I start... The interviewer arrived late on both occasions and didn't even apologise. During my 1st interview, we were interrupted when another person physically came into the virtual room and sat in on the interview. When I say another person, I'm not referring to someone who works at the company. I'm talking about an upset child who sat in on the interview while we spoke. Whilst I appreciate the ups and downs of working from home and in all fairness it didn't bother me. However, it's unprofessional and it could have thrown me off and shouldn't have taken place during an interview. I found the interviewer a bit cold and defensive throughout the interview. During the interview, it was actually noted that there wasn't any urgency to give me feedback as my other interviews were still early stages. I asked a simple question about what the company's biggest challenge is. I was met with a defensive "We have no challenges". I did get a sense of close-mindedness and micromanagement. I asked about ABM and if the company had considered the channel. I was met with no, we're looking for growth we can look into that channel within the next 18 months. Bear in mind this is coming from someone who doesn't understand marketing. ABM is a key channel for ICP growth... In all, very poor. I would expect better from a company that has 4.7 on Glassdoor.

I'm sorry to read that you don't feel your initial screening interview went well. Because of what you've written I have personally looked into this as it felt so out of character. Jo has been working in recruitment and screening for over 15 years. We've used her as a capable contractor for three years. She's never had feedback of this nature before. Nothing close. I gather you did speak on the Monday briefly before her ill daughter interrupted and meant she had to suggest reconvening to the following day, She was hugely apologetic and you said you were happy to do so. I'm not quite sure how this wasn't anything but professional. She wasn't late for either interview. She finds and carries out brief screening calls for us. I have reviewed your email correspondence which doesn't reflect any of what you say. Despite you not being put forward for the core interview process she made the time and effort to give you detailed written feedback something many employers don't do for candidates at this very initial stage. I am not going to respond to every point and assumption you've raised/made except to say I am at a loss as to how you reached them since you never got to meet an employee of the business. Duncan (CEO)
