My interview process at Lakeland Retail Store was overall a positive and structured experience. After submitting my application online, I was contacted by the store manager and invited for an in-store interview.
The interview was conducted in a friendly and conversational manner. The manager focused mainly on customer service skills, teamwork, and how I would handle situations in a retail environment. Some questions were related to previous retail or customer-facing experience, such as how I would assist customers in choosing products or deal with difficult situations.
I was also asked situational questions like:
How would you approach a customer who needs help finding a product?
How would you handle a busy store environment?
How do you ensure good customer service?
The interviewer also explained the responsibilities of the role, including helping customers, maintaining store displays, operating the till, and keeping the store organized.
The atmosphere was relaxed, and the interviewer gave me the opportunity to ask questions about the role, work schedule, and training process. The interview lasted around 20–30 minutes, and the focus was mainly on customer service attitude, communication skills, and enthusiasm for the brand.
Overall, the process was straightforward and welcoming, reflecting Lakeland’s focus on friendly customer service and product knowledge.
