I had a very positive interview experience with the Director and a team member. The interview covered basic OOP concepts, some DevOps questions, and a database command where I had to write a query. There were also several behavioral questions, such as how I handle conflict and how I would describe my interests in a way that would make the team interested in me as a candidate. Overall, I felt the interview went really well. At one point, the interviewer even stopped me and said my answer was good, which gave me confidence. I was genuinely excited about the role — the team seemed great, and the work culture (including not working on Fridays) really appealed to me, especially since it would have helped me balance my studies. I sent a thank-you email afterward, and they kindly responded early the next morning, mentioning they still had more interviews scheduled. Although I was very passionate about this opportunity and felt it was a strong match, I was later informed that they decided to move forward with another candidate. Despite the outcome, it was a professional and respectful process, and I truly appreciated the opportunity to interview with the team.
