I interviewed for a Software Engineer 3 role at Kotak. The entire process took almost 2 months (for 5 rounds ) and was a complete waste of time: Interview rounds were misaligned – HR said coding round, but panel asked HLD; another round was supposed to be HLD, but they asked random Core Java + Spring questions. After clearing all rounds, I had an HR discussion where we agreed on compensation. I submitted documents and kept following up for weeks. After 3 weeks of waiting, HR told me they cannot offer SE3 and instead asked me to consider SE2 with a lower package. This shows zero professionalism and respect for candidates’ time. Advice: Don’t waste your time with Kotak. The process is frustrating, unpredictable, and unfair.
