I applied online for the position of a Material Handler on their website, a couple of days later I received an email asking if I would like to have an interview and link in the email that automatically scheduled the interview for me. So I went to their distribution center for the interview, came 30-40 minutes early just to figure out where exactly I had to go and not be late which I did need in the end, I had to ask an employee where I should go. So I entered the building and was asked to wait along with others, I saw 3 other people. We were then asked for our names and a photo ID to be sure we were who we said we were. After that, we were taken to a big room with multiple tables, we each sat at a different table and were interviewed at the same time, at different tables. It looked a bit hectic at first, but as long as you focus on what the interview is asking you and not the noise of others then you should be ok. I struggled with the first question, which I can't exactly remember, then the rest were fairly simple such as what was my biggest accomplishment, what are some examples of attention to detail, examples of how i've solved an issue at work before, etc. They also asked how good I was with computers and what I would scale myself, same thing along with being a perfectionist.
I answered the questions asked fairly quickly, after that he seemed pleased and asked if I had any questions, which I did regarding not having experience with certain equipment showed on their "My Kohls Story" videos, which he said was fine that they would train me. Then I was taken a bit farther down the room where a kind lady congratulated me that I had gotten the position and took my picture, took down the days I would like to work, and filled out an additional form regarding drug testing/background checks. After that, I was taken to another room where a doctor was taking our saliva for the drug test. After that, they gave us our orientation date.
Overall, despite being a bit nervous I'd say it was a very pleasant experience and was very professional. While there, everyone seemed extremely friendly and I felt at home in away, I'm really looking forward to working there.
I hope this helped some of you applying for the same or a similar position, just be yourself and try to relax.
