I submitted an application online and got a call about a week later. The only thing I didn't like was they wanted me to come in for the interview the next day. It didn't give me much time to prepare, but it went well. I read a lot of people talking about "group interviews", mine was not like that. It was just me and two other managers. It was a very laid back interview. Super nice people who made me feel comfortable. They asked basic interview questions. Wasn't difficult at all. They called about a week later and offered me the job and I accepted. The pay is minimum wage, but I get decent hours. They do expect a lot out of you when it comes to credits, but it's a pretty easy job. I've worked there for almost a month now and it's alright. It gets boring at times. There is a lot of just standing there when days are slow, which may not sound like a bad deal, but standing all day for over six hours hardly doing anything gets a little rough. You have to have patience for people and be able to deal with difficult customers because you get some crazy ones. If you like people, you'll get by. If you don't, then don't apply for a POS position because all you deal with are people. For a part-time job, it's not a bad deal, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ready to be done there.

Question 1
Pretty basic interview questions. A lot asking about yourself, strengths and weaknesses, a time where you went above and beyond to help someone. They also asked scenario questions. Mostly about how you would handle a specific situation.

Group interview in conference room of the store. Very calm atmosphere with two of the managers and easy questions . About Kohl's history and past experience with customer service. They went around the room and everyone took turns answering and told us asked the people who passed the interview to stay afterwards.

A few standard questions were asked-availability, what would you do first in certain situations, tell me about your experience. Pay was not discussed and experience did not earn you any more money.
