Job seeker beware! Never in over 10 years of working in health education and corporate wellness have I had such as negative experience. Having commuted into NYC to interview 3 times for a total of 6.5 hours (3 hour first interview, 3 hour second interview), 1/2 hour 3rd) I had the unfortunate experience of meeting the CEO for my 3rd interview. An arrogant, pompous, acerbic individual who thinks he can hire an account manager for 50k proceeded to interrogate as opposed to interview in a sort of celebrity apprentice boardroom style until I definitively defined my case to be hired. He then left the room to talk with others I had interviewed with and upon his return he said "there are two choices, come onboard as a 1099 for a couple of months or as a w2 and we can fire you at any time". He should have just said "hey I'm looking to avoid paying unemployment and prefer you have a tremendous tax burden in the event we decide to whimsically let you go. Unfortunately despicable people lack transparency and honesty. He concluded the interview shortly there after and I never heard from them again despite reaching out 2 times for at least the courtesy of a no. DO NOT even entertain a phone interview with this disorganized, disjointed, disgrace of a company.
