      My interview with Klaviyo was the most frustrating, unprofessional interview process I've ever had in my life. After replying promptly to their request for times for a phone screen, I hear absolutely nothing back from the recruiter for a week. I reach out again and I'm told that the recruiter for the job was actually on vacation, and I should talk with him next week. That recruiter cancelled our meeting 45 minutes before we were scheduled to meet. Which is fine, life stuff happens. But when we do finally get a chance to talk--over three weeks since Klaviyo's initial request for an interview--the phone screen was the most uncomfortable I've ever had. The recruiter was late, and had no apology or excuse, nor did he have any acknowledgement for the scheduling difficulties we'd had. I frankly had the feeling he was in an extremely bad mood. Or that he didn't like me personally for some reason. We had no initial chit chat or small talk and instead went straight into a series of basic questions. There was absolutely no enthusiasm, rapport, human connection, or anything besides a bare script. The recruiter wrapped up the interview after about ten minutes without giving me any chance of asking a question. My whole feeling during the process was that something had gone wrong. That they the phone screen was pro forma, or that they'd changed their mind somewhere in the process. I deeply regret the time I put into preparing for the interview.
