For this position, the company required a total of seven contacts--recruiter, two rounds of technical interviews, two rounds of semi-technical interviews with other engineering staff, and one non-technical interview with a product manager, followed by a meeting with the recruiter again. There were several "exit" points but the company did not seem to want to take any of them until the end. As a result a great deal of time was wasted interviewing me even though their stated reason for not providing an offer was "lack of experience for the position," which could've been ascertained at the beginning. Even though the recruiter claimed that feedback would be provided at the end of the process, the actual feedback was minimal, as though the recruiter was embarrassed not to be making an offer. This suggested to me that there might be some reason for not extending an offer that wasn't appropriate or legal. Although I probably would've accepted an offer if one had been made, there is zero chance I would ever work for this company now, because of the disrespectful manner in which the interview process was handled. As a company, Klaviyo seems to have an inflated sense of its own importance, and the interview maze they've constructed shows it. My recommendation is not to waste your time unless you're desperate for work.
