      Entretien

      It was a technical interview and the interview process was very interesting. They tested my skillset and my technical knowledge during the interview. There were 5 rounds of interview and I got the opportunity to meet the Founder during the last round of the interview.

      First, they connected GD to test our communication skills, I got through it, HR was quit amiable thou they need better skill on the part, followed by which aptitude test, after that they took the selected ppl to their office, here is the facinating stuff, their office is quite fancy n workplace is really good, then they had HR round one on one, it was conversation about the job n get to know you.

      They were too keen on the idea of what you know about their reputation, they even proudly brag about it! So kindly know them through their official website zoho.com , a way u can impress them!

      The company accepted to visit our college for a campus drive. 7 rounds 1- group discussion 2-written test 3-presentation round(surprise round) 4-technical face to face 5-logical face to face 6- face to face with inbound lead 7-final discussion with CEO Rounds 1 &2 on day 1 Rounds 3,4,5,6 on day 2 Round 7 on day 3 I cleared till 6th round but got rejected in 7th round is)wid CEO. I had a programming profile which was evident from my resume.They tell me I am overqualified for the job on round 7 .Don't they know the fact before hand? . They were keen to employ individuals who fit in the job right away ,no issues .They should have told me " I AM OVERQUALIFIED" in atleast my technical face to face of day 2 . I would not have waste my time atleast.

Given the detailed multi-level process put in place (which you have also shared), you can see that we take great care to select the best fit for our organization (irrespective of a campus or lateral hire). We believe this works best both for us as well as the employee hired in the long term. We ensure that utmost clarity is given on the job role so that people do not have inaccurate assumptions based on the company brand (eg: Start-up, Product company, etc). We make it a point to educate all candidates on the roles and responsibilities of that specific role before the testing process begins. This gives the candidates maximum information to decide if they see an alignment between their personal aspirations and our organization’s needs. When someone agrees to go ahead with the process and then at a later stage informs us that they actually would like to move onto a completely different role / department, you can see how the organization might not see this as the best investment of their time. At the same time, a candidate with clear but different aspirations is best suited to seek out that role rather than settle. In this case the selection decision was based on “incorrect fitment” and not “over qualification” as mentioned.
