The premise is that this has been one of the most unprofessional recruitment processes I have ever attended in Consulting. The office I had applied to was Dubai and my interviews were held online. Applied on their website, got an email a month after telling me that I had been selected for their recruitment process and that my first interview would have been shortly scheduled. After a couple of months, I did not receive any email so I try to reach out. After multiple attempts and a few replies of the HR I managed to schedule a first interview AFTER 10 + MONTHS. (Note, that I had other friends that got selected to start the recruitment process and never got the first interview scheduled!). The process comprised 4 interviews, meeting increasingly more senior consultants, each interview was to be scheduled in a different day. The first interview went well and I passed it. I got scheduled the second interview on a day/time in which I was very busy (I was working at that time), thus I kindly asked the HR to reschedule it. For 2 weeks I did not receive any reply and honestly, I thought I was expelled from the recruitment process for asking to reschedule this second interview. After trying to reach out politely twice to the HR, I finally got to reschedule the second interview after more than 2 weeks waiting for a reply. I met the second interviewer, and I had the feeling it went well. However, a day after I received an email that I got rejected and that they were willing to provide me with feedback. Since I was negatively surprised about the result given my expectation after the interview, I was eager to receive feedback on my performance. I sent a first email to kindly ask for feedback to the HR that let me know the outcome. I didn't get any reply for a week. I tried a couple more polite emails to the HR and always waited a week or more for their reply. Yet, my email for a feedback request got disregarded. As a final attempt, I reached out to the second interviewer himself since I had his email. Unexpectedly, he replies and he scheduled the feedback call on a Thursday. When Thursday came, I didn't receive any call in the whole day. I kindly tried to send a couple more emails to set a day/time for this feedback call to him but he never got back to me. I had the pleasure to attend 2 more interview processes from direct Consulting competitors and in the Middle East, and both the firms have been extremely professional, not to say speedy in arranging the whole interview process and most importantly respectful and polite towards the candidates and, today I happily work in one of these firms now.
