Online test followed by telephonic interview. I'm using this to comment on the horribly handled recruitment by the company. No formal communication - the offer was conveyed to me on WhatsApp through the college coordinator, no confirmation of offer from the company, not even basic terms of employment given even though it was a case of relocation for the candidate, excessive negotiation for an earlier joining date, apathetic third party that was handling joining formalities - they would not give me a confirmation until I physically submitted the documents in Mumbai, among other things. I wrote to them and even then they wanted me to commit (through details, documents and forms) before they would process an offer letter 'as exceptional' - as if they were doing me a favour. I'll point out that this was happening a mere week or two before the joining date I had suggested - which, I have no idea was confirmed by the HR rep or not, since even the third party rep was asking me when I would be coming to Mumbai. Hence, naturally, I had not started making any arrangements, and by this time it was objectively unreasonable for me to even think of joining. I communicated to the college coordinator that I would not want to continue with the process (albeit, yes, after they asked me) - since this was clearly the channel of communication Kantar preferred. I was subsequently informed that the company had apparently backed out of recruiting any other candidates from my college, in what was made out to be my fault. This was an immensely agonising experience for me - it went from looking forward to a seemingly great work opportunity to being terrified of the corporate world, merely because of a recruitment process. I can only imagine what the actual work environment would've been if this is how inconsiderately the process was carried out - or not carried out, really.
