I was referred in by a friend who works at Kaiser. Got an initial phone screening interview from HR, then a follow up call to schedule with the hiring manager. Met in person for the initial interview with the hiring manager and was asked a series of written questions. It was pretty impersonal. Got the feeling they'd already found their person and were just going through the motions.
