I don't know how the company select the employees, but surely it's not technical proficiency or skills, since those were not evaluated at all. It was a 15 minutes screening interview with the lead developer, which is unusual considering it's clearly HR's job. After introducing myself and a brief introduction of the company, the interviewer had nothing else to say. Since I was talking with a developer, I took the chance to ask more technical questions, the answers were not really on point. When I asked if there was an HR department, the answer was no despite the fact I exchenged few email with an HR manager. Weird.
Despite I was told that they would let me know the next day, I received a rejection mail immediatly after. Unnecessarily rude.
My guess is that the developer, who was really young for a lead, would like not to hire older and more experienced developer.
