J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez KPMG en janv. 2021
Entretien
3 steps: Screening interview with HR. Interview with 2 members of the team, in separate interviews. Interview with Partner.
Worst interview process ever: I interviewed with 2 team members of color, both of south asian and/or middle east ethnic backgrounds. Things went smooth and everyone thought I was a perfect fit. I then entered the final interview with the Partner. Upon logging on Zoom, the white, male partner was visibly shocked that I was Black. The interview seemed to go well after he adjusted his surprised face and then the Partner told me I was a great fit for the team. When I received my follow-up call from HR I found out the Partner recommended me outside of his area and to the “federal” business line. Yeah … your so perfect for our team that I don’t want you on it? Federal is code for Black and hence why I might be a better “fit”. KPMG tried to state the recommendation was based on my expertise and background. False. I had been profiled. Lastly, the HR manager was “wow’d” by my credentials but low balled my offer. I negotiated up $40K . HR also didn’t follow-up in reasonable time and attempted to “ghost me”. By the time I got the offer I was so off out from the prejudice and lack of professional follow-up from HR that I declined.

Question 1
Basic questions. Tell me about yourself and the like. Nothing you wouldn’t find on a top 20 list.
It was a very straightforward interview. I enjoyed talking to everyone, and it looks like a really nice firm. I would like to accept the offer, but I need to give it some thought.
Telefoninterview über Teams - mit Partner und Manager. Zuerst Personal Fit, CV präsentieren, dann fachliche Fragen im Bankensektor (z.B. beobachtete Trends). Am Ende ausreichend Zeit für Fragen und sonstige Themen. Rückmeldung kam telefonisch nach 2 Wochen.

Question 1
Welche Trends beobachtest du aktuell in der Finanzbranche?
Primarily a behavioral interview over 3 rounds. Some questions were a bit off-topic, but also meant to learn more about you. First met with the hiring manager and then 2 managers. I did not get an offer and also asked for feedback, but got no response.
