      Question 1

What my experience was working with dogs. Obviously, the most important question of them all.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez K9s For Warriors (San Antonio, TX) en mai 2024

      Entretien

My interview process was on the phone, and my HR rep was very, VERY generic sounding (she had never been a trainer). The interview was pretty basic, but something that I noticed was that when I was asked about "What I know" about the company, there was a big break of hesitance. I didn't think much of it at the time, so I answered everything as honestly as I could, and was emailed an offer for an unpaid, 3 hour shadow interview to see if we would be a good fit for each other (I had loads of prior experience so this would have been cake for me, but the unpaid shadow interview was very sketchy to me since I at least got paid for that at my previous company) Then next day, I went ahead and did some digging on this company, and found all kinds of red flags! It started out great, and family owned with a fantastic mission. Then for some reason, it was bought out by a politician named Rory Diamond in Florida who took its mission and used it for his personal gain (the exposes on this guy are insane!) This caused all kinds of turmoil in the company, and he even fired the original founder and her son when they attempted to help mitigate these changes. The location that came into San Antonio claimed to be non profit, but was asking the city to donate over 2 million dollars to build its facility, which caused a lot of confusion in the city council itself. You can find these news and media videos just by typing in the name of the company on google. The amount of sketchy practices is unreal, which is what caused me to decline this offer. The interview is now really fake to me in my opinion, I would've rather spoken to an actual trainer from the location to get honest feedback about this company and its history. I really hope they can get back on mission at some point in the future...
