The process starts with a Jumbo recruiter giving you a screening call. Then, they send a test programming exercise (this should take around 3 hours).
If the candidate is selected for the next round, then it consists of two 45-minute interviews: one with the recruiter (personality interview) and one with the data science team (technical). The technical interview went quite well, although I did not know answers to some questions (e.g., some bits of Databricks that mostly come from Data Engineering rather than DS).
Like most Dutch companies, Jumbo appears to prioritise soft skills. So, despite mostly matching the technical requirements, I was turned down on the basis of my answers to interpersonal questions. So... fake it till you make it.
Apart from the fact that I didn't get the offer, I think that the process was genuinely fun, and I learnt a lot during my preparations.
