I was contacted in September after applying online and speaking with a contact in the HR department over the summer. I was scheduled to meet with a panel of managers in the department the following week and was only given one day as an option despite having a conflict of interest and having to rearrange my work responsibilities (much to the dismay of my colleagues). Upon arriving for the interview, I was met and taken to a room where three managers were waiting for me. One made a snide remark that I was "that candidate"--referring to the school which I recently received my PhD. They proceeded to ask me questions from a pre-set guide without actually seeking to learn anything about me. Despite the rigidity of the interview, I played along and answered their questions and tried to engage them in conversation. I remarked how I felt that this would be a great fit for me and was eager to move forward in the process. I asked them for their contact information to follow up, but none were prepared with cards. I ended up having to follow up with the HR contact to ask for their info. I proceeded to send them thank you notes and, after not hearing anything for two months, followed up to see if there was any new information. To date, I have not heard a thing. For a company that prides itself of culture and inclusion, I was extremely turned off by how I was treated during and after my interview. I would not accept an offer should they ever reach out to me.
