J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Jobber (Vancouver, BC) en mai 2025

      Entretien

I had to wait for 30min for the initial interview because for unknown reason (I could see it was not declined on my end), the interview was declined even though I did not decline. So I had to reschedule it to next Monday. Then, she rescheduled it to Wednesday without informing me. When we finally met, she did not apologize at all and went straight into the interview. She asked a LOT of questions both behavioural and technical for an initial call which took longer than what it was scheduled for so she asked for extension. At the END of the interview, she asked about my salray expectation which I shared and was not too much apart from the provided range. I expressed my willingness to adjust and she and I agreed to discuss further after the intervirew process is finished. And I got rejection email due to compensation which surpised me. This is a very frustrating experience. If the compensation is what you use to reject people, don't waste people's time and ask on application form or in the beginning of the interview. I know it is currently Employer's market but HR should not be wasting people's time and reject people agaisnt what is verbally agreed. They should understand this is a difficult time for job seekers and be a little more respectful of their time and effort that is spent on writing application, doing research on the job and company, preparing for the interview and the interview itself.

      Entretien

The interview process was very well organized and straight forward. Each round included qualified interviewers and the feedback was very quick between rounds. The process consisted of 5 rounds: 1. Quick chat with the talent team 2. Behavioral interview with a panel of engineering managers 3. Technical take home assignment 4. Technical interview with panel of engineers (resume review -> take home assignment review -> technical whiteboarding pairing) 5. Cultural interview with leadership The technical interview was a great experience. The interviewers are not trying to trick you, they are working with you to see how you pair, ask questions, and communicate your ideas as you work. Overall a great interviewing experience and the talent team was extremely accommodating + quick to give follow ups

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Jobber en nov. 2024

      Entretien

Each interview round was scheduled once after I passed the previous stage. 1. Hiring Recruiter round (30min): a phone-call to understand motivation, and background (including situation-based behavioural questions). 2. Hiring Manager round (1hr): With 2 prospective managers, be able to answer questions about work experience in detail (project, technical trade-offs, lessons learned, etc.) 3. Assessment round (not timed): choose 1 of 2 leetcode-style questions to solve at your own time. 4. Functional Interview round (1.5 hr): With 3 prospective team members, be able to talk about the assessment, general software development practices, resume, and what you can bring to the table. Additionally, there was 1 white boarding question (leetcode-style) with focus on communication, problem-solving, and adaptiveness to feedbacks (be ready to multi-task as interviewers likely give feedbacks while you're coding) 5. Executive round (30min): be able to tell stories in align with the company's values. 6. Offer or Reject: following 2-3 days after the executive round, hr scheduled a phone-call to share feedbacks (whether the result was good or bad). Overall, a lengthy interview process. But, given the current state of the market, it was understandable.
