      HR convinced me to appear for the interview as my resume is the ONLY resume that got shortlisted. Knowing this, I thought I had a solid chance and decided to appear in Interview. The 40-minute technical interview went really well, and the interviewer voluntarily gave me feedback at the end that I did really well. A week later, I asked HR for an update. I was told that I didn't clear the round. I told HR that on the contrary, your interviewer had positive remarks about me, and asked if she could provide me with any insights on what went wrong. But no feedback was given.

      Thanks for your thoughtful (and impressively detailed) review—and for stepping into the matrix of computer vision interviews at JiBe. We’re glad you felt the interview went well. It’s true, your resume stood out—which is why we brought you in. As the saying goes, “If you're the only one in the room, it better be for the right reasons.” And in your case, it absolutely was. Now, about the outcome—we get it. The surprise twist ending wasn’t what you expected. We do strive for transparency, but in some cases, feedback after final review isn't always clear-cut or actionable in a way that serves either side. Sometimes it’s less about “what went wrong” and more about what aligned best with our needs at the moment—like a perfectly tuned loss function. As for your reference to the feedback during the interview—yep, it was genuine. A good conversation and strong technical answers don’t go unnoticed. But selection at this level involves multiple layers. As they say in deep learning and dating: “High confidence doesn’t always mean high accuracy.” That said, we appreciate the time, preparation, and passion you brought to the conversation.
