Extremely technical and heavy focus on oil & gas companies. I prepared a lot for the interview so I was able to answer all of the questions, but if you don't prepare oil & gas specific technical questions, you have no chance. The interview process consisted of a phone screen, a first round interview, and finally a superday. This was all conducted via zoom and the process was relatively quick. It was roughly two weeks from start to finish.

The Jefferies interview process was unexpectedly slow and drawn-out. While the content remained standard for investment banking—focusing on typical technical and behavioural questions—the overall length was disappointing. I found the timeline unnecessarily long compared to other firms, which impacted my overall candidate experience.

Interviewed with SVP, 2 VPs, Associate, and analyst over 1 week and received offer within 3 weeks. Technical questions were industry specific and behavioral ones focused on capacity to work long hours and desire to work at Jefferies in the specific group.
